Havard Nordtveit leaves West Ham for Hoffenheim
West Ham have announced the sale of midfielder Havard Nordtveit to German side Hoffenheim for a fee understood to be £8m.
The 26-year-old Norway international will be returning to Germany after just a season with the Hammers, who he joined from Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer last summer.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic said: "I would like to thank Havard for his commitment and hard work last season.
"He is an excellent professional and we wish him all the very best at Hoffenheim."
Nordtveit made his debut for the London club in the Europa League last July and made 21 appearances in total.
He moves on to a Hoffenheim side who enjoyed a fine 2016/17 campaign, finishing fourth in the Bundesliga table.

Good riddance. I'm still angry at that attempt of tracking back.

I notice Slav says he's an excellent professional, which is quite possibly true.
A couple of good games amongst all the, to put it kindly, underwhelming showings.
However, I will remember him most for his short but influential sub appearance away to tottenham........still smarts.

Slav must have had his ear bent by Crassus down the boozer.
Hopefully means we'll be getting another midfielder in after daft noises from the club earlier on that we didn't need one. Cue Sir Alf and 100 million quid transfer budget ;-) ...

With such failures in transfers like this it's going to be a warning of the risks of joining us.
Hardly got a chance in his best position, and fell out of favour with his manager almost as soon as he kicked a ball.
With Arbeloa, Zaza, Calleri, Feghouli, Tore and Snodgrass, thats over a quarter of a squad brought in and needed to be got rid of in a season.

Once played in DM, he was MOTM for 2 games in a row.
That's 1 MOTM award more than Kouyate last season.

TBF, Nordtveit could be playing champions league football next season - Noble won't.

Enner Valencia could have signed for Rosenborg or Celtic and been playing Champion's League football, which would not make him better than Antonio, who (hopefully) won't be playing in it next season.

Nordviet hasn't joined Celtic or Rosenberg though has he? Hoffenhiem were the fourth best side in Germany, which is a much higher standard.
Also, Noble could be wanted by Champions League teams, if they were interested. Can you honestly say Noble could possibly leave us for a bigger side?
I don't think so.
